The African American Cultural & Resource Center (AACRC) supports the mission of the university by recruiting and retaining students of diverse identities at the University of Cincinnati. The AACRC fosters an atmosphere where lively conversation is welcomed and encouraged, leadership development and academic success are prioritized, and quiet study spaces are regularly utilized. The AACRC also hosts several large-scale traditional programs that are annual marquee events of the African American experience at the University of Cincinnati.
On the brink of it’s 25th year, the AACRC is poised to become a model for cultural and racial understanding in higher education. The Center serves as a resource for enlightenment about the Black experience and has become a known resource for variety of organizations on campus and in the Greater Cincinnati community.
The AACRC helps prepare students to become effective leaders, and plays a key role in the mission of the university.
