Memorial Hall, Harry Hake, architect, 1924, was renovated in 1999 as part of signature architect Henry Cobb's remake of the College-Conservatory of Music village. Cobb created the enclosed walkway that connects Mary Emery Hall and Memorial Hall. Memorial, UC's first dormitory on campus, now includes space for rehearsal rooms and offices. Original architect Harry Hake sought to incorporate elements evocative of the building's name to commemorate the soldiers of World War I.
