Corbett Center for Performing Arts (College Conservatory of Music)/ CCM Village (Henry Cobb and NBBJ-Roth, architects, 1999).
The seven-year, $93.2 million renovation and construction of the new CCM Village doubled the existing floor area and created a dramatic college quadrangle. The renovation involved three buildings: Schmidlapp gymnasium was renovated to create the Dieterle Vocal Arts Center. Memorial dormitory was remodeled to create rehearsal rooms and offices. And Mary Emery Hall was partially demolished and encased in new construction. The Corbett Center for Performing Arts is in the center of CCM Village. It houses many of CCM’s performance venues including Cohen Family Studio Theater, Patricia Corbett Theater and Corbett Auditorium.
